- Never leave a burning candle, incense or palo santo unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
- Burn on a heat-resistant holder or plate that catches ash and embers, in a room with some fresh air.
- Loose incense and resins burn on charcoal: set the charcoal on a layer of sand in a heat-resistant bowl and handle it with tongs. Charcoal and holders stay hot long after the smoke fades, so let them cool completely before touching or emptying.
- If you have asthma or are sensitive to smoke, use incense and palo santo with care, in a well-ventilated space.
- Candles: trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting. On the first burn, let a candle burn about one hour for every inch of its diameter, and never more than four hours at a time.
- Store incense, herbs and resins sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight so the scent lasts.
- Stones: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Each stone is unique in color and pattern.

Description
Wooden Jasper Crystal — leopard skin jasper
Wooden jasper, also known as leopard skin jasper, is a microcrystalline variety of quartz from the jasper family. Its spotted patterns come from mineral inclusions, mainly iron oxide, and every piece is unique in shape, color and markings.
Look and feel
Earthy brown tones with darker spots give the stone its leopard-skin look and a rugged, organic character. With a hardness of 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale it is durable and well suited to daily handling and crystal collections.
In tradition
Jasper has been valued for centuries as a stone of endurance, strength and connection to the earth, and it has long been carried as a companion stone for meditation. In crystal lore wooden jasper is sometimes called the stone of grounding and strength and is traditionally associated with the root chakra, with stability and resilience. In astrological tradition it is linked with Virgo, Capricorn and Taurus. Many people enjoy holding it during quiet, present-moment practice.
