- Never leave a burning candle, incense or palo santo unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
- Burn on a heat-resistant holder or plate that catches ash and embers, in a room with some fresh air.
- Loose incense and resins burn on charcoal: set the charcoal on a layer of sand in a heat-resistant bowl and handle it with tongs. Charcoal and holders stay hot long after the smoke fades, so let them cool completely before touching or emptying.
- If you have asthma or are sensitive to smoke, use incense and palo santo with care, in a well-ventilated space.
- Candles: trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting. On the first burn, let a candle burn about one hour for every inch of its diameter, and never more than four hours at a time.
- Store incense, herbs and resins sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight so the scent lasts.
- Stones: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Each stone is unique in color and pattern.

Description
Sage Botanical Incense — Anatolian sage, loose
Sage is one of the most widely burned herbs in history, and ours is Anatolian sage (Salvia spp.), grown in Türkiye. It comes as a loose botanical incense: you burn a small pinch at a time on hot charcoal.
Scent and character
Anatolian sage has a warm, earthy, slightly camphor-like herbal scent — familiar from hillsides and kitchen windows across the region. The smoke is dry and clean-smelling rather than sweet, which makes it a good base for a focused, uncluttered moment.
In tradition
Across many cultures sage smoke has accompanied ceremonies, prayers and new beginnings for generations. It is traditionally used in smoke cleansing rituals, especially when a household moves into a new home or marks a fresh start. We share this as tradition, not as a promised effect; many people light it as part of a quiet meditation, an evening wind-down or a moment to set an intention.
What’s inside
- Anatolian sage (Salvia spp.)
- Loose incense; incense charcoal and a heat-resistant bowl are needed to burn it
How to use
- Place a heat-resistant bowl (ceramic or copper) on a stable surface.
- Light a piece of incense charcoal, holding it with tongs, and let it turn red-hot.
- Sprinkle a small amount of sage incense onto the charcoal.
- Let the aromatic smoke fill the room as you carry out your ritual. Ventilate the room during and after use.
Burn in a well-ventilated room on a heat-proof surface. Never leave burning incense or charcoal unattended, and keep it away from children and pets. If you are sensitive to smoke, use sparingly. Use tongs; charcoal stays hot long after the smoke fades. Not recommended for people with asthma or other respiratory conditions. Not packaged for food use.
