- Never leave a burning candle, incense or palo santo unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
- Burn on a heat-resistant holder or plate that catches ash and embers, in a room with some fresh air.
- Loose incense and resins burn on charcoal: set the charcoal on a layer of sand in a heat-resistant bowl and handle it with tongs. Charcoal and holders stay hot long after the smoke fades, so let them cool completely before touching or emptying.
- If you have asthma or are sensitive to smoke, use incense and palo santo with care, in a well-ventilated space.
- Candles: trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting. On the first burn, let a candle burn about one hour for every inch of its diameter, and never more than four hours at a time.
- Store incense, herbs and resins sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight so the scent lasts.
- Stones: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Each stone is unique in color and pattern.

Description
Mundo Mondo Myrrh Incense Set — resin and sage ritual set
A complete resin-burning set for one of the oldest incense materials we know. Inside you will find a box of myrrh resin, an Anatolian sage stick, a ceramic holder, charcoal and incense sand — everything for a slow, quiet ritual at home.
Scent and character
Myrrh is the resin of the Commiphora myrrha tree, which grows in the desert regions of Ethiopia, Kenya and India. On charcoal the small tears soften and release a rich, earthy, slightly sweet smoke with a balsamic depth. Paired with the dry, green note of Anatolian sage, it makes a warm and grounding atmosphere for reflection.
In tradition
Myrrh has been valued for more than 5,000 years. In ancient Egypt it was part of temple rites and embalming practice; in Greek and Roman tradition it was burned as an offering; and it appears in Ayurvedic herbal lore. Sage is traditionally used in smoke cleansing rituals, and the two are often burned together. Today many people light myrrh to mark a quiet evening, a meditation or a moment to slow down.
What’s inside
- Box of myrrh resin (Commiphora myrrha)
- Anatolian sage stick
- Ceramic incense holder (heat-resistant)
- 5 incense charcoal pieces
- Incense sand, to insulate the holder
How to use
- Open a window or door to ventilate the room.
- Fill the ceramic holder with incense sand to insulate the heat.
- Hold a charcoal piece with tongs or tweezers, light it and set it on the sand.
- Once the charcoal turns white-hot, place a small amount of myrrh resin on top.
- Let the deep, resinous scent fill the room; use the Anatolian sage stick before or after, as you prefer.
Burn in a well-ventilated room on a heat-proof surface. Never leave burning incense or charcoal unattended, and keep it away from children and pets. If you are sensitive to smoke, use sparingly. Use tongs; charcoal stays hot long after the smoke fades. Not recommended for people with asthma or other respiratory conditions.
