Distressed Ceramic Incense Holder — chalice form with a hand-applied antiqued finish
This holder looks as if it has been on the family shelf for decades. Its chalice shape and antiqued finish give it a quiet, timeless character, and its deep basin keeps the ash where it belongs.
Design and material
Each holder is handcrafted from ceramic and finished using eskitme, the Turkish word for distressing, a technique applied by hand. Glaze, color and texture vary from piece to piece, which gives it a relaxed, wabi-sabi feel. It is smooth yet textured and reassuringly substantial.

How to use
- Stand a stick in its holder, or set a cone in the center of the dish.
- Light the tip, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out so it smolders.
