- Never leave a burning candle, incense or palo santo unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
- Burn on a heat-resistant holder or plate that catches ash and embers, in a room with some fresh air.
- Loose incense and resins burn on charcoal: set the charcoal on a layer of sand in a heat-resistant bowl and handle it with tongs. Charcoal and holders stay hot long after the smoke fades, so let them cool completely before touching or emptying.
- If you have asthma or are sensitive to smoke, use incense and palo santo with care, in a well-ventilated space.
- Candles: trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting. On the first burn, let a candle burn about one hour for every inch of its diameter, and never more than four hours at a time.
- Store incense, herbs and resins sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight so the scent lasts.
- Stones: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Each stone is unique in color and pattern.

Sandalwood Wood Incense — hand-cut Santalum album sticks
Sandalwood from the Santalum album tree is one of the most loved natural incenses in history. Our sticks are cut by hand, so each varies slightly in color, weight and width, while the total weight per package stays the same.
Scent and character
Sandalwood smells warm, soft and slightly spicy, with a creamy depth and a steady, lingering fragrance. Unlike ordinary incense sticks, a piece of sandalwood burns slowly and can be used several times. It suits meditation, yoga, a quiet evening at home or simply scenting a room.
In tradition
Santalum album is the sandalwood tree traditionally associated with India, where the wood has been used for centuries in Buddhist and Hindu ritual and in Ayurvedic tradition. In these traditions it is associated with serenity and reflection. Beyond incense, it is prized for fine miniature carving, soap, candles and skincare. We share this as culture; many people simply enjoy its calm, contemplative scent.

How to use
- Hold the tip of a stick to a candle or lighter until a small flame develops.
- Let it burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Gently blow out the flame so the stick smolders and releases its scent.
- Rest it in a fireproof holder (metal, glass or ceramic) away from children and pets.
Burn in a well-ventilated room on a heat-proof surface. Never leave burning incense or charcoal unattended, and keep it away from children and pets. If you are sensitive to smoke, use sparingly. Not recommended for people with asthma or other respiratory conditions.
