Turquoise is a hydrous phosphate mineral of copper and aluminum, which gives it its blue-to-green color. It forms in arid regions over thousands of years, as groundwater interacts with copper deposits, often in rounded, kidney-like nodules. Each piece is natural and unique in color, pattern and shape.

Look and feel

Colors range from sky blue to deep green, often with fine natural veining. With a hardness of 5–6 on the Mohs scale it is relatively soft, so handle it with care and keep it away from prolonged contact with water and chemicals.
