Product care
  • Never leave a burning candle, incense or palo santo unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
  • Burn on a heat-resistant holder or plate that catches ash and embers, in a room with some fresh air.
  • Loose incense and resins burn on charcoal: set the charcoal on a layer of sand in a heat-resistant bowl and handle it with tongs. Charcoal and holders stay hot long after the smoke fades, so let them cool completely before touching or emptying.
  • If you have asthma or are sensitive to smoke, use incense and palo santo with care, in a well-ventilated space.
  • Candles: trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting. On the first burn, let a candle burn about one hour for every inch of its diameter, and never more than four hours at a time.
  • Store incense, herbs and resins sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight so the scent lasts.
  • Stones: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Each stone is unique in color and pattern.

Our products are made for ritual and atmosphere. They are not a substitute for medical care.

Description

Jasmine Botanical Incense — sweet floral loose incense

This is jasmine in its simplest form: jasmine flowers (Jasminum spp.) prepared as a loose botanical incense. You burn a small pinch at a time on charcoal, and the room fills with a warm, floral smoke.

Scent and character

Jasmine smells sweet and rounded, with a creamy softness that lingers after the smoke has thinned. It is less sharp than herbal incense and less heavy than resin — a gentle scent for a calm, welcoming room, an evening wind-down or a quiet meditation.

In tradition

Jasmine has been cherished for centuries across many cultures. In folklore it is a flower of love, devotion and warmth, and it has long been part of ceremonies, offerings and celebrations. It is traditionally used in smoke cleansing rituals alongside other flowers and herbs. We share these associations as culture; many people simply light it to mark a quiet moment or to set an intention for the evening.

What’s inside

  • Jasmine flowers (Jasminum spp.)
  • Loose incense; incense charcoal and a heat-resistant bowl are needed to burn it

How to use

  • Place a heat-resistant bowl (ceramic or copper) on a stable surface.
  • Light a piece of incense charcoal, holding it with tongs, and let it turn red-hot.
  • Sprinkle a small amount of jasmine incense onto the charcoal.
  • Let the soft, floral smoke fill the room as part of your evening or meditation ritual, keeping the room ventilated.

Burn in a well-ventilated room on a heat-proof surface. Never leave burning incense or charcoal unattended, and keep it away from children and pets. If you are sensitive to smoke, use sparingly. Use tongs; charcoal stays hot long after the smoke fades. Not recommended for people with asthma or other respiratory conditions. Not packaged for food use.
