- Never leave a burning candle, incense or palo santo unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
- Burn on a heat-resistant holder or plate that catches ash and embers, in a room with some fresh air.
- Loose incense and resins burn on charcoal: set the charcoal on a layer of sand in a heat-resistant bowl and handle it with tongs. Charcoal and holders stay hot long after the smoke fades, so let them cool completely before touching or emptying.
- If you have asthma or are sensitive to smoke, use incense and palo santo with care, in a well-ventilated space.
- Candles: trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting. On the first burn, let a candle burn about one hour for every inch of its diameter, and never more than four hours at a time.
- Store incense, herbs and resins sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight so the scent lasts.
- Stones: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Each stone is unique in color and pattern.

Tiger eye is a variety of quartz with iron oxide inclusions that create its golden-brown color and chatoyancy, the cat’s-eye effect that sends a band of light across the surface as you turn it. Each piece is unique in its patterns.
Look and feel
Golden-brown bands shimmer and shift in the light, so the stone seems to move in your hand. With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale it is durable and resilient, well suited to daily handling, jewelry and crystal collections.
In tradition
In ancient Egypt, tiger eye was a symbol of vision and was reportedly worn by warriors and royalty as an emblem of strength and leadership; Roman soldiers carried it as a token of courage. In crystal lore it is traditionally associated with the solar plexus chakra, with confidence, motivation and willpower, and with the third eye chakra and clarity.
