Mundo Mondo New Home Incense Set — a house-blessing ritual
Moving into a new space is a meaningful moment, and many cultures mark it with a smoke ritual. This set brings together our New Home blend of Anatolian sage, rosemary, rose and frankincense with an Anatolian sage stick, a ceramic holder, charcoal and incense sand.
Scent and character
The blend is herbal, resinous and gently floral: sage and rosemary give a green opening, frankincense adds warmth and depth, and rose softens the whole. The sage stick closes the ritual with a drier, greener smoke.
In tradition
In folk and ritual tradition, sage is associated with new beginnings and is traditionally used in smoke cleansing rituals; in European folk tradition rosemary is linked with home blessings and welcoming gatherings; rose with love, warmth and harmony; and frankincense has accompanied ceremony and prayer for centuries. We share this as culture — a way to mark a new chapter.

How to use
- Open a window or door to ventilate the room.
- Fill the ceramic holder with incense sand to insulate the heat.
- Hold a charcoal piece with tongs or tweezers, light it and set it on the sand.
- Once the charcoal turns white-hot, sprinkle a small amount of the New Home blend on top.
- If you follow the tradition, carry the holder carefully through each room, pausing at corners, doorways and windows as you set your intention.
- Finish the ritual with the Anatolian sage stick.
Burn in a well-ventilated room on a heat-proof surface. Never leave burning incense or charcoal unattended, and keep it away from children and pets. If you are sensitive to smoke, use sparingly. Use tongs; charcoal stays hot long after the smoke fades. Not recommended for people with asthma or other respiratory conditions.
